The Best of the Best

Europa magazine decided to showcase the top designers of 2010 for their May/June edition. The best of the best is Elie Saab, Valentino, Stephane Rolland and Jean Paul Gaultier (the last picture).

I love Rolland's studded blazer and how it is styled to have very geometric shape. Girlies please take notes because studded wear is still very much haute for this season.
However, my favourite outfit has to be Elie Saab's evening gown. From a designer's perspective, it is simply amazing. The gorgeous blends of patterns and colours is very playful to eye. I am amazed at how the cloth at the top half is wrapped in and out of each other to achieve that fitted bodice look which then contrasts with the bottom half that is draped loosely to create volume.

They are certainly the best of the best, but I think Europa left out Versace :(
