I decided to star Nikki Minaj and Rihanna, who recently collaborated for a song called "it's rainin men", together in the same post. Strangely this morning, during the AMTV session while the "moment for life" video was playing, my father asked which Caribbean girl is doing better is the music industry? My little brother was quick to say Nikki, although my dad thought Rihanna was the one better off. While I was in my confused state of mind deciding who to pick, Rihanna's face popped up on the television screen to advertise the "who's that chick" song by David Guetta. Like I said...strange.
But anyways!
At the Grammy's, everyone seemed so intrigued by Nikki's full-out cheetah ensemble. The hosts of fashion police thought that it was a clever and bold statement for her to make. I, on other hand, didn't really like it too much but I respect and admire her willingness to do bizarre things with fashion.
My favourite ensemble for the night was (of course!) Rihanna. I loved that the dress had neat ruffles and were rowed off to follow a censor pattern. Plus, I loved what she did with her hair- the length and colour looks fantastic on her.
Soooo back to that question, which Caribbean girl do you think is doing better currenlty- Rihanna or Nikki?
