Rumors are that Marc Jacobs was asked to start designing for Dior because the collection was getting too repetitive and boring. Repetitive, yes... They tend to resort to ruffles all the time. Boring? I don't think so. Dior's Spring 2011 collection was vibrant and on trend with all of their macrame pieces. And their Fall 2011 collection was girly, chic and full of cute ruffles (again ruffles).
Anyway you take it, I am excited to see what Marc Jacobs does for Dior.
