Spring 2011 has given us a variety of trends to chose from- 60's fashion, 70's fashion (the scoop-neck), neon colours, macrame, embellishments, tassels & fringe and bold stripes!
Out of all the runway shows, these were the ones that caught my eye:

 Versace- Trends: Fringe, Minimal.

Fendi- Trends: Bohemian, 70's fashion.

Left Column: Chritsian Dior- Trends: Macrame, fringe(bags)
Right Column: Jason Wu- Trends: Sophisticated & brouched, sheer.

Chanel- Trends: Sheer, embellishments.
Elie Saab- Trends: 60's & 70's fashion, embellishments.

Gucci- Trends: Tassels and fringe.
Amongst my favourites were also Basso & Brooke, Mary Katrantzou, Dolce & Gabbana and

Trend Report: Stripes!

Jason Wu and Prada both had a healthy dose of stripes for their Spring collection. In addition, according to Fashionista.com, Prada's stripes have been featured in 48 magazine covers! It looks like the colourful and blog, horizontal lines are a big hit to magazine editors.

Naked With Clothes On

Sheer and lace was a definite feature for some of the Spring 2011 collections. Even though it is not a major trend for 2011, it was seen on the catwalks of designers such as Erdem, Jason Wu and Eelie Saab. I liked that the designers used sheer in a very sophisticated way by incorporating it in suits and in tailored looks.
